It's the home stretch before our trip! One week from today the six person team from Zion West LCMS Omaha, NE will be boarding the plane and flying to China. It's hard to believe that the time has finally come after nearly a year of preparation. These final days are a whirlwind for our little group. Half of our team is down in San Antonio right now for the National LCMS Youth Gathering, being filled with the fire of the Spirit that they will take with them to China. Yours truly will be flying to a work conference in Nashville on Sunday and will return 13 hours before leaving for Hong Kong (pray that the weather is agreeable for the flights!). Suzy and Sharon have been working hard to wrap up the last loose ends before our departure on the 11th. All-in-all we've had our hands full.
We invite our friends and family to pray for us as we go on our mission trip. Prayer requests for our flights to and from China, our health and safety, the families we'll be away from, the people we'll meet in Hong Kong, and most importantly, prayers that the Spirit works through our service in ways seen and unseen.
